He's putting the finishing touches on it now. More information to come, likely on a newly redesigned website, because Decomposure frankly kind of hates this one.Mon, 25 Aug 2008 01:00:00 GMThttp://www.decomposure.com/page.php?indexkey=650http://www.decomposure.com/page.php?indexkey=650Decomposure Web 3.0News + Events - 'Decomposure is on Twitter'http://www.decomposure.com/page.php?indexkey=1Because Decomposure is so unbearably social all the times and loves to network, he's up on Twitter now: twitter.com/decomposure. Using 23 hour-long cassette tapes, the 24-year-old graphic artist behind Decomposure recorded his daily activities. During the course of the following year, he digitized, cut and compacted the sounds from each hour into separate songs, creating complex beatscapes (not unlike Kid A-era Radiohead), while allowing his vocals to float in and out of the mix with the lucidity of dream states. The first half of the day comprises Decomposure's third album, Vertical Lines A, an abstract and philosophical portrayal of the way sounds subtly shape our lives, like an audio interpretation of Don DeLillo's White Noise. 'What I love about field recordings as that they're so deep in sound,' says Mueller, who's currently working on the remainder of the evening, Vertical Lines B. 'There are so many different layers of sound that you can't possibly process them all in real time. That's the funny thing about going back and listening to your past repeatedly. It gives it a larger than life quality.'Fri, 21 Mar 2008 01:00:00 GMThttp://www.decomposure.com/page.php?indexkey=637http://www.decomposure.com/page.php?indexkey=637Decomposure Web 3.0
